Last night couldn't have gone better at the Center for Photography...Thanks for everyone that came out to hear me gab. In spite of the weather there was a good crowd. One attendee mentioned he had been shooting longer than I have been alive!!! Great talking to everyone! Us photogs come in all ages, shapes, sizes, nationalities..it is wonderful. There is def a photog out there for every kind of bride!
I never knew I could talk for an hour without stopping...And then answer questions!!
onto my fabulous Rebecca!!!
I just love her...that is what called for the cheese earlier.
She sent me text messages from her honeymoon!!! I have enjoyed getting to know Rebecca so much, I just can't tell you. I love her family and her friends/cousins like crazy. I know she is glad all the planning and driving (they drove from Texas to get married in Charleston) is over, but I sure hope the texts and fb messages don't stop. You rocked it Becca!!! I was like 8 1/2 months pregnant at this shoot and it was sooooo hot...but so much fun. There is never a dull moment with Becca and her awesome mom Doris...I think the adoption papers are almost done...sorry Mom ; )

btw- thanks to the ladies at White House Black Market for letting us use your window...
Also thanks to the Charleston Place Hotel. There had to have been 5 weddings going on the day of these portraits...It was a zoo- photographers and brides and grooms everywhere!!
We had a lot of fun during this session. I actually shot Jen's bsesh the next day, so she must have been super tired from working it 2 days straight!
I hope you guys can get some sleep 2nite!!!

Jen & Dom...you guys are awesome...Hope you are having fun on your honeymoon ;) "Juicy" is still my favorite picture!!
(11.11.09 @ 04:33 PM)"I actually started courting Brenda in July 08 some 8 months before she finally said yes. It's funny now after we had been dating for awhile we looked back on the history of my text messages and I had pretty much asked her out every 48 hours for 8 months before I wore her down. The funny part of that is that I had always lived by the three times rule to that point. But I didn't give up."
Persistence paid off. I have a soft spot in my heart for stories like this, because ours is one very similar. My husband worked very hard to win my affection...I was a little jaded...and well...the rest is history.
Brenda and Shane are the couple that make you wonder if you are "in love enough". I mean honestly, from the way that they look at each other, to the way that he touches her and her reactions...it is that sort of chemistry that makes people jealous!
Well Shane has left, and Brenda no doubt, is waiting with bated breath. These for her are like the tin types from years ago.
...a little romance goes a long way!

I LOVE the leather jackets!!!
(11.02.09 @ 11:00 AM)Oh Ashley! Thank you so very much for your sweet words. Shane is truly my sunshine and I miss him so much, thank you for capturing the essence of your relationship. Shane and I had a blast with you and we love the final product. Thank you!!!
(11.02.09 @ 01:51 PM)These pictures are beautiful!!!! The both of you look very, very happy with each other. Brenda, I am so happy for you. You deserve happiness and the best.
(11.03.09 @ 05:02 PM)I can't stop smiling.....I'm almost in tears. I'm soo happy that they are soo happy together and I pray their love continues to prosper for many, many years to come. GOD Bless the both of them!!!!! Love ya Brenda....your gurl from AIT '95.....Talisha
(11.03.09 @ 06:54 PM)What a story... and what beautiful images. I love the story they share. It gives love hope.

Ash~ love, love, LOVE the pics you chose for the blog. We all had such a blast with you and the texts/FB posts will NEVER end! When I was looking for a photographer and I saw your stuff it had so much life and personality to it and I love that. You allow the personality of the person to come through in the photos. I was looking for a photographer and I found a good friend in the process - tell the kids that they're welcome in Texas any time!! Muah! (Hope your mouth feels better)
(11.10.09 @ 07:22 PM)WOW!!!!! They did turn out great & Becca, I loved your choice of bridal portrait...it sooooo fit your personality!! I had so much fun with you ladies & I can't wait to see the wedding day portraits cause your wedding was GORGEOUS just like you :) OH & tell your hubby that I am sorry about him "drowning" in lipgloss..haha
