Laura just got married last weekend.  Beautiful weather, beautiful location, we'll talk more of that shortly. The fantastic Lizzy brought us together, and for that I am so thankful.  Laura's dress is one of my favorites I have seen in a while.  Like you "wanna borrow it and get married again", kinda dress!
April might be my new favorite month for marriage.  Great weather, great light, daylight savings, no rain dates (so far), my birthday month and it is spring.

I don't shoot portrait sessions very often anymore. Weddings really take up most of my free time.  It is a nice change of pace when I do and especially when the subjects are as beautiful as these.  Meet the beautiful Sydney and Liza...

Charleston Weddings/ scawpPOY/ Weddings Unveiled ad

So the year started on a bit of a sad note with bouts of family sickness and the man I love leaving...but a few things have happened
that put a smile back on my face. 

First, I found out that I had a 2 page spread in Charleston Weddings Magazine which featured the wedding of Meredith and Eric. 
BTW, This is a terrible scan.  i couldn't find a digital copy except the link above.

Second, I found out that I was named 2009 Wedding Photographer of the Year - for the South Carolina Association of Wedding Photographers. Totally unexpected, but totally honored!!! here are the winning images: http://www.scawpj.com/2009-SC-Wedding-Photos-of-the-Year-Winners.htmlBLOG.jpg

Third, I saw that J.Majors used Emily's picture for their full page ad in
Weddings Unveiled Spring 2010. Personally I think it is lovely! This is a
scan...pick one up cause this is a wonderful issue!
