Welcome to my blog So this is a place I rant and rave, wear my heart on my sleeve, gush on my family, and most importantly share my art...the photo stories of wonderful couples and people I cross paths with.   Don't be afraid to bookmark it, or leave a comment.  I love hearing from everyone and anyone.  Check back frequently...I will try to keep you updated.

Here are some from Blakely's bridal session.  She is one of the most creative people I know.  She made her jewelry, shoe accessories, and her hair piece...she brought her own props and
had fabulous, maybe my favorite in a loooong time, wedding hair.  I am such an advocate of soft, flowy wedding hair.  I am not a huge fan of the hair-sprayed-pageanty style hair that you see sometimes.  It is not my wedding so this is just my opinion, but I love a soft, natural hair style like what you see on this beautiful girl's head.

Just beautiful! My favorite is the 3rd pic - very light-colored and romantic - where she is looking upwards. Stunning!

Michaela is one of those girls that is so cute, but might not realize just how cute she is.  I think she could model...as you may agree after seeing her pics. This is a session that I just loved.   I love using lighting to accomplish a look and feel that is sometimes just somewhere in my head.  I love when I can pull off what I was envisioning.  Sometime it is hard shooting at the same location...trying to pull off images that are unique for each client.  I try to let my clients speak to me and use them for inspiration.
Michaela has a face that just seems to beg to be photographed.  I am really happy with this session.  Michaela got married on my bday and it was a beautiful wedding.

Caitlin and I met at her parent's house in one of my favorite neighborhoods.  Right in the middle of town, but doesn't feel like town at all.  Caitlin's mom Darlene, was a nurse at the hospital where I had Abby and has become a family friend.  I love you guys and appreciate the friendship that we have.  Darlene I love seeing you at the school and think you are a superhero!
I don't know if it was the highest pollen count of the year, (the day we shot these) but I would wager that it was close.  My feet were yellow when we were done, literally.  I have never seen so much pollen before and I have lived in SC for six years now.
Caitlin has a story of heartache and hurt, like most of us and was lucky to get a second chance at love.  These are so close to my heart, because my husband and I were both married before (sorry if ya knew that already).  If it weren't for second chances, I would be a miserable, lonely wretch! I think there is a plan for us that is better than anything we could ever hope for or imagine!   Caitlin I think you looked ravishing.  Fantastic makeup artistry by Courtney
I have never had a horse as close to my face as I did in this session.  The 4th pic down has a "flare" in the corner...that is actually the horses mouth as he was sniffing my cheek.  I left that in because it was so crazy.  He was all up in my grill...literally!
