Welcome to my blog So this is a place I rant and rave, wear my heart on my sleeve, gush on my family, and most importantly share my art...the photo stories of wonderful couples and people I cross paths with.   Don't be afraid to bookmark it, or leave a comment.  I love hearing from everyone and anyone.  Check back frequently...I will try to keep you updated.

Just kidding...all I am going to say is that we chose a few locations that were off limits or private property or that required permits of all things...and we were questioned or ran off the property twice during her bridal session.  I am so glad her mom is so sweet and wonderful cause most Mom's would have been over that real quick.
Can't say there aren't great stories to go around about this session.
Jen is perfection.  Jen is laughter. Jen is sweet as apple pie or Southern sweet tea.
She is like another BFF...what can I say.  This year has been so good to me.  I have more bride friends than I know what to do with...I am blessed and Jen is well...fabulous.

My bride/friend forever!! ha!! that is so cheesy I can't believe I even typed it.  Well it is one of those days.  I have to have a root canal today and it is Betsy's b-day...so I'll have a sore mouth at Chuck E. Cheese's.  It doesn't get much better than that!!
Last night couldn't have gone better at the Center for Photography...Thanks for everyone that came out to hear me gab.  In spite of the weather there was a good crowd.  One attendee mentioned he had been shooting longer than I have been alive!!!  Great talking to everyone!  Us photogs come in all ages, shapes, sizes, nationalities..it is wonderful.  There is def a photog out there for every kind of bride!
I never knew I could talk for an hour without stopping...And then answer questions!!

onto my fabulous Rebecca!!!
I just love her...that is what called for the cheese earlier.
She sent me text messages from her honeymoon!!!  I have enjoyed getting to know Rebecca so much, I just can't tell you.  I love her family and her friends/cousins like crazy.  I know she is glad all the planning and driving (they drove from Texas to get married in Charleston) is over, but I sure hope the texts and fb messages don't stop.  You rocked it Becca!!!  I was like 8 1/2 months pregnant at this shoot and it was sooooo hot...but so much fun.  There is never a dull moment with Becca and her awesome mom Doris...I think the adoption papers are almost done...sorry Mom ; )

btw- thanks to the ladies at White House Black Market for letting us use your window...
Also thanks to the Charleston Place Hotel.  There had to have been 5 weddings going on the day of these portraits...It was a zoo- photographers and brides and grooms everywhere!!

Ash~ love, love, LOVE the pics you chose for the blog. We all had such a blast with you and the texts/FB posts will NEVER end! When I was looking for a photographer and I saw your stuff it had so much life and personality to it and I love that. You allow the personality of the person to come through in the photos. I was looking for a photographer and I found a good friend in the process - tell the kids that they're welcome in Texas any time!! Muah! (Hope your mouth feels better)

ebony oh ebony where do I begin!!!  Ebony booked me a while ago, like back when I was fairly new to the area.  I think she heard about me...was hoping I did things a little different and was banking on something good going down!  I feel like it has been forever because she has seen me with Betsy as a baby, then pregnant, and now back to my good ole' self again!  I truly love Ebony, her style, her ability to chat up anyone, to laugh about anything and her sense of just who she is.
Her bridal session was shot indoors cause it was HOT outside and she had some connections to a building that we took over for an evening.
Ebony is like my sister from another mother and well here she is...

Where do I start with Ashley? I was so excited when I heard there was a photojournalist in the Sumter area and had to check her out! Who would have thought two years ago, a photographer whom I now can call a friend, would impact the memories of this special moment for the rest of my life. You are truly a burst of energy in the Sumter market and really enjoy making brides look absolutely FIERCE! I am so happy that God placed me in the right place, at the right time, to meet a caring, loving, and energetic woman as you.

Your sister from another mother,
Ebony Baxter
