Welcome to my blog
So this is a place I rant and rave, wear my heart on my sleeve, gush on my family, and most importantly share my art...the photo stories of wonderful couples and people I cross paths with. Don't be afraid to bookmark it, or leave a comment. I love hearing from everyone and anyone. Check back frequently...I will try to keep you updated.

Lydia is about to embark on one of the most exciting times in life. She is graduating! I have had the pleasure of watching Lydia grow up for the last few years. Lydia's Mama has taught me a lot about being a Mom, a Wife, and a thing or two about gardening (among tons of other things).
Lydia is so multi-faceted from singing, to long boarding, to riding horses...
I look forward to watching Lydia become the woman God intended. You are and will be amazing! Love ya Lyd;)

One of my all-time favorite couples had a baby recently. I had been following the pregnancy and was praying the whole day Elijah made his first appearance. I feel so blessed and honored when I get texts like "It's A Boy!!!" and "We're headed to the hospital!!". I love that my job creates situations that seal sweet and lasting relationships with wonderful men and women. I get to watch their lives blossom and be blessed so fantastically. I cannot count on the fingers God gave me how many of my clients/friends are pregnant right now!!!! It is so exciting to me to watch the circle of life and relationships and I feel so honored (I say this again because i sincerely mean it) to be in your life and allowed to share your lives with you.
Lizzy and I have been texting back and forth about this sweet baby. I wanted to be told as soon as he was born so we could plan his first photo shoot ;) Well I drove to down south and photographed the baby a few weeks ago and here are a few. Lizzy means so much to me, and her relationship with Jonathan is something that puts a smile to my face (and I am sure their parent's faces as well). With a foundation based on Christ and Jonathan's part-time employment based in missions and helping the people of Africa, I love these two and think they are just plain fantastic.

Oh blog, how I miss you, my voice misses you. You are my voice. I should really use you more, you are here for me to use and to vent to. The one thing that does not roll it's eyes or talk back or laugh or scoff. When I need you most, I forget about you.
A few things... One is me trying to keep my sanity in these last few days waiting for my husband to get a flight out of Kyrgyzstan. Homework and keeping kids happy and alive and fed and bathed.
I just finished the Mudrun on Saturday. After weeks of working out and spin classes and arms and crunches, I did it. It was hard and long and uphill and muddy and well...we finished. My group had a great time. Em and I really bonded; something I will never forget. I am a total heights homo, and some of the obstacles made me a little crippled with fear for a sec, but I did it. I have a whole fears blog post coming right up.
To add insult to injury we were stuck in traffic and decided to ditch the car and ran/walked 2 miles to get to the mudrun...so we were tired when we arrived. My voice is hoarse from the run and from dinner with some gals right after so I thought it apropos to name my post what I did...it is literal and not so literal, in case anyone even cares. I know my mom will be like "LARYNGITIS...what is going on?!?" if she reads this ;)
One of my best friends is moving away this week...I will/should/need to post all about her and what she has been for me this summer and past few years...
Eddie Adams Barnstorm is coming up in a WEEK!! My husband isn't even home yet and I am getting my portfolio together and starting to pack gear. I am so excited, but sad to leave him. I know he is home for good though, so that helps.
I shot some pictures for two fabulous event planners in Columbia and here is one of those. Yes there are face shots, I just don't want to show them all because they are launching a website soon and I don't want to spoil their secrets.
I am about to blog Caroline & Adam's wedding also...

I love these!! & the school bus is funny...I get it:) Lydia, your parents have prepared you well. Keep your eyes upon Jesus!
(03.11.11 @ 08:55 AM)Those shots in the field are absolutely stunning! I love the softness of the field and how the sun seems to be hitting only Lydia and the horse. It's angelic and magnificent!
