Welcome to my blog
So this is a place I rant and rave, wear my heart on my sleeve, gush on my family, and most importantly share my art...the photo stories of wonderful couples and people I cross paths with. Don't be afraid to bookmark it, or leave a comment. I love hearing from everyone and anyone. Check back frequently...I will try to keep you updated.

The way that you become connected with people is sometimes as fascinating as the people and the relations you form themselves. Caroline and I were brought together through the craziest of circumstances... let me try to explain this without making you totally confused.
Brian is my uncles brother, half brother to be exact. They share a Dad. They are from Israel, but their parents/families now live in England. My aunt met my uncle in a kibbutz in Israel back in the day...I forget what year, but they were hippies and fell fast in love. I was always fascinated with the story, and plan (swear) to go to Israel one day and find my people ;) Quick note- my grandfather was a Polish Jew. It is the only people that I can associate or feel a kinship with, and I always have. I have always wanted to go to Israel, and almost made it when I was in the military. I got to the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus (in Jordan) and could see the flag of Israel flying on the other side, and was told military personnel were not advised to go there.
So...My uncle's brother Brian facebooked me letting me know that he knew of a couple getting married in North Carolina and he would pass my name on to them. Now our groom Adam, seems to share a cousin Adele with my uncle's brother Brian?!? (I am going to hear it for this one because I am sure I messed this up.) Even at the wedding we were all like how did this come to be, and how do I know you?!? The point is that it did...and now I do...I have a whole slew of New Jersey Jews that I am crazy about...I found a newest favorite wedding band...and I have an actress/friend named Caroline, whom you might know from Brothers and Sisters last spring (courtroom scene with Balthazar Getty), The Event just the other night on NBC. She is an incredible actress and insanely funny. I wish I could pay her to be an extra in my life...because she would be hilarious to have around. Here are just a few images from the first half of our incredible NC day. It all started in Pinehurst where Caroline's family would vacation when she was a kid. More images coming in another post soon. This was one of the most expressive couples EVER...you will see at the reception. stay tuned oh btw...one of the groomsmen won Beauty and the Geek...just sayin. Sorry Josh ;)

One last post before bed tonight. I am two for two today... This has been a good week. Booked a few weddings, lots of inquiries. Things are looking up, in all sorts of ways. The light is shining at the end of this dark and Bill-less tunnel. I have a few things planned that I am excited about...The most exciting thing is my sweet William's return. Seems like it will never get here, but he can't stay away forever.
Now about the pics. Poor Brittney has been so patient with me. I suffered some issues with my internet, to include the house being struck by lightning-seriously. I am posting this and also finishing the whole wedding, which will be online this weekend.
Brittney and Robert are young and in love, and so sweet...I had the pleasure of seeing Robert's family again. I shot his sisters' wedding two years ago (was it that long already?!?) I don't know Robert as well as I know Brittney, and I think she is tops. I adore her actually, and thank "Mary Kay" Mary for sharing her with me so long ago.
I hope you enjoy these pics, right in time for your Friday morning coffee.

Emily and Justin were married in Savannah at the Telfair Museum of Art. What a magical, beautiful place full of some fantastic pieces of art. The most well know piece, the bird girl, was guarding their fantastic cake all night. Emily's dress was a Vera Wang, and was the center of attention, at least mine ;)
Emily and Justin have dated for about eight years...patiently waiting for this day. They have put God first in their relationship and that is easy to tell with just a short conversation with Emily. I have had the pleasure of shooting both Justin and his brother Jonathan's (Jonathan + Lizzy) weddings and am so glad that there are other siblings left unmarried, because I can't get enough of this fantastic and charming family. I love watching as sibling's weddings take place. Both weddings were fantastic in their own right, and so different, as the two boys are. I am sure their parents are proud to have such God fearing kiddos, all grown up with fantastic wives to stand by them forever.

As usual, details to follow shortly ;)

Emily and Justin were easily one of my favorite couples. So genuine and truly, truly in love. These are phenomenal shots Ashley - youve captured both the museum's AND the couple's personalities without diluting the other. Fantastic!
